Water Resistant
Aquamatch can be blended in for up to 10 minutes after application. After this time Aquamatch "dries" to become water resistant, and will not rinse off even when completely immersed in water.

Technology
Water Resistance
Many creams and sprays claim to be "water resistant" but Nanogen researchers developing Aquamatch discovered many of them can be rinsed off quite easily. Years of research developed a combination of pigment retaining oils which will not rinse off, even underwater.
In testing, Aquamatch was applied to skin next to samples of two other water resistant scalp concealing products according to their manufacturer's instructions. Photographs were taken after their allotted drying time. After 5 minutes immersion in warm water the whole area was dried with a towel. The results were photographed and then compared.
The photographs clearly show that most of the water resistant competitor products came off almost entirely, whereas the unique formula of Aquamatch was left almost untouched.
Aquamatch also uses patent-pending technology, and becomes even more water resistant when Locking Mist Plus is applied afterwards.

Directions
- For best results, first cleanse the hair using Hair Prepare and then either Daily Volume or Follicle Defence.
- Gently apply directly to the scalp in the thinning area, parting or scar.
- Blend in gently with a fingertip, particularly at the edges for a natural look.
- Leave to dry for at least 10 minutes before exposing to water or applying Nanofibres, always avoid touching where possible
- Apply Locking Mist Plus afterwards to dramatically improve water resistance.

- How long will Aquamatch last?
Aquamatch will last around two months with daily use.
- Can I use Aquamatch with Nanofibres?
Yes you can. Aquamatch complements your existing Nanofibres camouflage routine, as well as being useful as a water resistant stand-alone product.
- How do I match the Aquamatch colour to my Nanofibres?
The colour of the Nanofibres that you use will have a correspondent Aquamatch colour.
- Why is there not an Aquamatch to match the Nanofibres I use?
Nanogen's mission is to provide all customers with the most natural looking camouflage possible. At the present time, using Aquamatch that is a blonde, grey or white colour does not make enough of a difference to satisfy Nanogen's high standards in hair loss concealers, so you can simply use Nanofibres and water-resistant Locking Mist.
- Should I apply the Aquamatch directly to my scalp, does it need blending in?
Yes you should. Do not apply in heavy lines; gently build up colour by applying feathery strokes for the most natural looking camouflage possible. You should blend in any unnatural looking lines with your fingertip, making sure to wash your hands thoroughly afterwards to avoid any colour transfer.
- How long does Aquamatch last after applying?
Once applied, Aquamatch will last until you wash your hair.

- Will I get staining on my clothes, bed sheets or hands when I am using Aquamatch?
Initially the product is easily blendable, however once the product has "dried" (which will take approximately ten minutes) then colour will not run or mark. You may wish to wash your hair before going to bed to make sure that there is no trace left on your pillow case, and you should avoid rubbing Aquamatch when possible.
- Will the colour of the product run in the rain or if I perspire?
Aquamatch has been designed to be extremely water resistant once applied (after the "drying" period). The colour will not run due to rain or perspiration. For extra protection you can apply Locking Mist to ensure Aquamatch will not run even under water.
- Can I style my hair after I have applied Aquamatch?
If you are applying Aquamatch alone then you can style your hair as desired, apply Aquamatch to your skin before styling. Bear in mind that many styling products group hair together and make it look thinner, so the result may still be better without extensive styling. If you still wanting to style your hair after the application of Aquamatch and Nanofibres then you should follow the styling instructions for Nanofibres.
- How do I choose the best colour match for my hair
You can judge the most natural looking Aquamatch colour for you using our colour chart.
- How can I correct Aquamatch without washing my hair?
If you feel like you have made an error in applying Aquamatch then you should apply soap and water to a cotton bud and gently erase it.
- Will using Locking Mist help this product to stay in place?
Yes, Locking Mist will make Aquamatch even more water resistant.

Colour Tips

Nanogen only provide the best hair camouflage products. At this time, Aquamatch technology does not create enough of a significant difference in appearance for lighter coloured hair, and so it is not avaialble. However Nanofibres come in 10 shades to thicken any colour of thinning hair. |
Ingredient Highlights:
Saw Palmetto
Saw Palmetto berries contain lipids that can reduce hair loss. Nanogen use an extract of saw palmetto with a high lipid content, and Aquamatch contains this to deliver beneficial saw palmetto to the skin throughout the day. "Breatheable" Formula
Aquamatch is specially formulated to be water-resistant, but to allow hair to grow completely normally, and air to reach the skin. Aquamatch is safe and free from:
SLS and SLES
These common surfactants are very harsh and drying to hair. They can also leave skin dry, irritated and block pores causing folliculitis when left on for long periods of time, such as with Aquamatch.
Parabens
Many people worry about the group of preservatives called parabens. Nanogen do not believe these are harmful, but appreciate our client's concerns and so all our products are paraben free.
Glycols
Glycols such as propylene glycol are common preservatives and solvents. These can be pore-blocking and irritating, and so no Nanogen products contains any form of glycol.
Formaldehyde Donors
Many common preservatives in cosmetics are formaldehyde donors. These are not dangerous, but formaldehyde will damage skin and growing hair cells, so no Nanogen product contains them.
